Our LS2 / LS3 front drive kit offers an alternative to the complicated drive system that is standard on LS series engines. This attractive design gives an old-school look to the modern LS whilst retaining standard pulley placement to suit factory crank drive position. Designed and manufactured in Australia, CNC Machined from 6061 Aluminium and of the best quality, because we believe parts should fit perfectly and be built to last.
Kit contains:
- Water pump with pulley, thermostat, outlets and heater block off fittings. Water pump is fully serviceable and cartridge can be replaced
- Fan belt
- Adjustable alternator bracket
- High quality USA Made Tuff Stuff 160amp alternator and wiring plug
- All bolts and gaskets to mount pump and alternator to engine
Optional upgrades include: power steering and air conditioning
- If adding power steering kit includes: billet brackets, idler, AC Delco power steering pump and pulley, and all fasteners
- If adding air conditioning, included is: Billet brackets, Sanden compressor, suction fittings, fan belt and all fasteners.
LS2 LS3 Clockwise rotation Billet Water Pump
Water pump is fully serviceable and cartridge can be replaced.
This LS2 LS3 Clockwise rotation billet water pump was developed after years of doing LS conversions in our workshop for clients and in our own personal vehicles. The factory LS engine was designed to fit into engine bays such as late Commodores, Corvettes and Camaros and run a whole range of functions not always applicable when retro fitting into an old vehicle. Our LS water pumps are at the core of a range of products designed to maintain the performance and reliability of an LS engine swap without the messy appearance of using a modern motor.
Why is our pump different?
Our pump is designed around running clockwise, same as the old school V8 you always knew and loved. LS engines have a water pump that rotates in an anti-clockwise direction with extra idler pulleys to allow the direction change. Our clockwise rotation pump means the pump pulley rotates in the same direction as the crankshaft. This eliminates the need for idler pulleys and frees up space in the engine bay with the added benefit of having different water outlet options.
When used as part of our front drive kit it helps achieve a more compact low mount accessory drive system that is ideal for small cars and those with narrow chassis rails.

Plumbing
Connecting the water pump up is easy as we offer four options for water inlet and outlet style to assist different plumbing options.
- Angled outlet with 1-1/4” 20 Thread
- -20 AN fitting outlet
- Hose outlet: suit 38.1mm / 1.5”
- Hose outlet: suit 44.4mm / 1.75”
On an LS system it is traditionally a 1.5″ hose outlet on the top, and 1.75″ hose inlet on the bottom.
The pump features allowances for two -8 ORB port fittings for heater inlet and outlet, which you can blank off if unused. Fittings used to blank off the heater inlet and outlet are included with pump.
Each pump is supplied with a Tridon thermostat – opening temp 91°C / 195°F
